Regenerative Design Capacity
This course is designed to support students and professionals to develop an Eco-literacy, an understanding of the basic principles of ecological and regenerative design, applying this knowledge to redesign human settlements and communities to learn to live in harmony and within the limits of nature.
This is a design course, whose main objective is to develop effective design capabilities through the practical application of knowledge and tools. Students work on real problems of current design permaculture projects (to be defined), supporting and guiding them to determine their own future. Students will have the opportunity to participate in the research, design and development of a local project. This is an opportunity to learn through participation in a process of applied design.
The course covers sustainable living systems for a wide variety of
landscapes and climates. It includes the application of permaculture
principles to food production, home design, construction, energy
conservation and generation, and explores alternative economic
structures and legal strategies supporting permaculture solutions.
"There is no power beyond that of a community waking up to itself" (Margaret Wheatley).
This course is designed to help
